Ever been pranked by an ingenious April Fools Joke? We certainly have, here are some of our favourites:

1. GOOGLE
The virtual streets of Google Maps were transformed into Pac-Man’s chomping grounds.
Google added the option to convert its navigation service into the Pac-Man video game. The gag enables visitors to click on a Pac-Man symbol in the lower left of the screen to play the video game on whatever location is listed in the address bar. Pac-Man eats blinking dots while trying to elude four “ghosts” — Pinky, Blinky, Inky and Clyde.

2. FLIGHT CENTRE
Introducing a new ‘frugal fare’, Flight Centre offered a plane ticket to London from $199* return, calling it “a world-first new cabin class for the frugal”.
When followers clicked to purchase tickets, they were taken to page that said “WE GOTCHA! Do you know what day it is today? Happy April Fool’s Day! We hear you though, everyone loves a travel bargain.”

3.VIRGIN ACTIVE TRAINS

Coming soon … Virgin Trains is replacing traditional seats with exercise bikes, cross trainers and running machines to create the world’s first ever on-board travelling gym on its fleet of Pendolinos and Super Voyager trains.
Named ‘Fitness Coach’, one carriage on each train will be packed full with state-of-the-art gym equipment that’s been hand-picked with the help of fitness experts at Virgin Active. In a ground-breaking move, the kinetic energy generated from each Fitness Coach will be harnessed and returned to the Grid increasing Virgin Trains’ energy return to 30 per cent. 
Why wouldn’t Virgin introduce gyms to their trains is the real question today!

4. KIA
The car company got involved by posting on Facebook that the Kia Optima concept car features Smile-to-Start technology, which “enables keyless start through the power of a smile”.

5. VIRGIN AUSTRALIA
Virgin Australia launched a dedicated lounge for pets, which apparently featuring a world-first Premium Paw Door Entry.
“The lounge will be available to four legged members of our Velocity Frequent Flyer program”, he airline stated today. Of course Virgin are known for allowing owners to travel with their pets, which makes this one very believable.

6. DOMINOS PIZZA

Domino’s Pizza UK are set to launch of the world’s first driverless delivery vehicles. Dominos claims that the vehicles will be controlled remotely and navigate themselves using Sat-nav.

7. QANTAS
On the airline’s official Facebook fan page, the company posted an announcement that it was going to under go a name change today, by adding a ‘U’ to its name so it would be known as ‘QUANTAS’. They claimed the ‘U’ would be in honor of all its customers.

8. LONDON EYE

The Coca-Cola London Eye has announce its new partnership with the British Space Research Program, bringing the first Zero Gravity Capsule experience to the cantilevered observation wheel. It took six years to develop the technology used by the likes of NASA. It simulates weightlessness via indoor vertical fans embedded in the capsule floor, smaller versions of those which are used to train sky divers.

9. WIFI ENABLED SWIMWEAR BY VIRGIN

A new range of wearable technology in the form of Wi-Fi enabled swimwear has been developed by Virgin Media Business. The new prototype that has been created in collaboration with swimwear designer Lauren Remzi has an inbuilt Wi-Fi hotspot. This allows users to remain connected to their work devices, from wherever they choose to holiday.

10. CLIMATE CHANGE WILL WAKE UP DRAGONS
An Australian and UK study, allegedly due to be published in scientific journal Nature today: has reported that increasing temperatures will result in an explosion of fire-breathing dragons around the world. The researchers say that dragon numbers declined during cool periods in history such as the so-called Little Ice Age but are likely to make a comeback as the planet warms. They warn that population growth has created a ready food supply and recommend that countries like Australia avoid honorific titles to avoid attracting the attention of hungry dragon hatchlings, which have traditionally favoured knights as a food source.
