Granny Mouse Country House & Spa is set to embark on an amazing expansion programme, which will transform the already stunning Hotel, to incorporate refurbishing existing areas, and creating glamourous new spaces.
Having begun the planning process some time ago, the changes will now be effected during the winter months, and will take roughly 3 months, if all goes according to plan. Borne from capacity requests, and the desire to create a unique addition to the KwaZulu Natal Midlands offering, this development will see a long-time plan come to light.
The construction will include a complete refurbishment of the current Bistro dining area, and renovations to the Mouse & Lion Bar, including the addition of a Glass Conservatory, with foldaway glass doors allowing for greater seating, not to mention exquisite views.
In addition to this, a deck will be added to the front of the dining and bar area, wrapping around to join the Caversham Room. These stunning updates will increase seating capacity in the Conservatory by 40 people, and an additional 80 people on the deck, creating the prefect space for your next big event or wedding.
According to General Manager, Sean Granger, “this expansion is incredibly exciting, as it will bring a new dimension to the Hotel, and enhance it, bringing it closer to its true potential. It is also key to us that local construction talent be used, thereby creating job opportunities.”
The current pool area will simultaneously be upgraded to match the changes, and will add a fresh and unique feel to the Midlands Meander, creating the perfect place for cocktails, sundowners, snacks, meals, functions and weddings.
