Durban Received A Special Message From Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May For The 2015 Top Gear Show. Here Are All The Details That You Need To Know!

The hugely successful and wildly popular Top Gear Festival has announced that they will be returning to Durban for 4th year in 2015. Durban is well know for their support of car shows, with many petrol heads enjoying the stunts and temporary race tracks. The first show that was done in South Africa was in Joburg in 2011, but Durban’s support of the show since 2012 has ensured another great weekend for car fanatics and fans of the show.

The Top Gear TV show has a loyal fan base and strong following in South  Africa. Durban can expect an influx of out of town visitors wanting to attend the show. The show, which will be on the weekend of the 13 and 14th of June 2015 will see many staying on until the 16th, which is a public holiday in South Africa. The Top Gear festival  will be a great boost for our economy and allow us to showcase our beautiful city to international tourists.

Next year’s show will be hosted at the Moses Mabhida Stadium with a new and revolutionized stadium design. The festival will be tarmacking or ‘asphalting’ the entire Moses Mabhida football pitch to create an EPIC racing playground that will keep you on the edge of your seat for next year! Visitors can expect one EXPLOSIVE night time performance per day, playing to a full stadium of fans.

The Top Gear Team Is Excited To Be Back!

In a video made by Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May, they all expressed their delight at returning to Durban. Clarkson has been a fan of South Africa since his first visit in 2011. Clarkson expressed his delight to be hosted at “The magnificent Moses Mabhida Stadium” he also went on to say that South Africa has “the best live audience in the world.”
