A food legend in Durban, Mr. Hu and his wife have been serving up great plates of authentic Chinese food many for years. Republik – Gourmet Burgers
We have been hearing great things about the burgers at Republik in Durban North. Creating good, nourishing and healthy food is what they are after. This quirky new joint gives you the chance to style your burger exactly the way you would like to. You entirely make up your burger from choosing the base, to the protein, (chicken or beef) and your toppings. You write down your exact burger and send it off to be made. Toppings are fresh and may vary. Shoestring fries accompany your burger.

Mo-zam-bik – Florida Road – Portuguese
Newly opened on Florida Road, Mozambik is located at what was the back section of Spiga ‘d Oro. Not the first branch in Durban, Mo-Zam-Bik is already known for their great Portuguese flavors and delectable prawns. Offering a wide range of seafoods, with a secret and divine seafood spice, as well as great chicken and steak we are confident that you will be licking your fingers. Great flavors, great location, a great vibe and great for the whole family. What’s not to love!!

Britannia – Durban Curry
A Durban legend, we hardly have to say much. For those unfamiliar with Hotel Britannia, this well known establishment has been dishing up great curries for decades. Rich in history and flavors, the bunnies are a particularly popular item here. A neat and welcoming restaurant located in the hotel is often full with many happy eaters. Serving great Durban style curries is the trademark of Brits, as it is known by the locals. A great dish to try apart from the curries is the masala fried fish, with a side of dhall and rice. You will not be disappointed.

La Bella Cafe – Pizza & Pasta
La Bella Cafe, located quite centrally on the corner of St. Thomas Road and Essenwood Road is a busy and popular spot for many Morningside locals. The historic building is actually Durban’s very first fire station. Offering good food at a good price, the cafe soon established a very homely feel to it and grew into a much loved spot. Homemade pastas and wood-fired pizza, as well as a few pub classics, it has something for everyone. The hugely popular beer garden ensures that La Bella never sees a quiet day.
