The awesome city of Durban will be hosting the premier world music festival, which will be Africa’s largest concert featuring headline international acts, bands from Cuba, Jamaica, Trinidad, the USA, the UK and South Africa to represent cultures of the world.0
World Jam Music Festival will be proudly hosted by the province of Kwazulu-Natal as a true Zulu Kingdom Experience for the city and province from 6-7 December 2014, and will be staged at the iconic and award-winning Moses Mabhida Stadium.
It will bring together an exciting new concept of four themed music arenas for fans to indulge their musical senses across genres of Rock & Blues, Sophia Town & SA Stars, New Orleans Jazz and Ocean Islands.
Each day will conclude with a major international artist as a headline act on the main stage inside Moses Mabhida Stadium. The magnificent New Orleans Jazz arena will provide the flagship entertainment area, and will feature performances by some of New Orleans’ top artists to highlight the longstanding sister city relationship shared with Durban.
Going beyond music, festival visitors will be able to indulge in a variety of culinary experiences as a host of international kitchens are brought to Durban’s doorstep by authentic chefs.
A wide array of cultural exhibitions, activities, interactive areas along with New Orleans style brass bands and Mardi Gras float parades will bring the cultural diversity of the festival to life, and offer families and music fans a fantastic weekend of wall-to-wall entertainment, cultural diversity and music fusion.
