Accommodation and Breakfast is easy. Honeycomb Guest House is centrally situated in Durban North. It lies between the Durban Central Business District and Umhlanga Rocks. We are also close to Springfield Park, Briardene and the River-horse Valley Business Estate. This Guesthouse offers a great option for your stay.

Your hosts and managers are the owners. We have run this great Bed and Breakfast Guest House for over 10 years. You can enjoy everything expected of a top class hotel in a homely and friendly manner. Our bed and breakfast rates are reasonable and cheaper than most.

Soccer can be found at the new multi-bilion rand stadium built for the 2010 Soccer world cup.

Don't forget to shop! Gateway Theatre of Shopping is located just outside Umhlanga. The mall has a wide variety of shops, restaurants, theatres and an iMax cinema. It should keep you entertained for hours. The Pavilion is just 15 minutes up the Road in the other direction.

Durban is an ideal base from which to explore the game reserves and the Drakensberg Mountains. Both destinations are only a few hours drive away. Hluhluwe Game Reserve is a relatively short 3 hour drive up the North Coast. Established in 1895, and set in the heartland of Zululand, it is the oldest reserve in Africa and boasts the big five. Or you can visit the Ukhahlamba Drakensberg Park. Set in the majestic mountain range, this World Heritage Site is also one of South Africa's prime eco-tourist destinations. Take your hiking boots with you and enjoy the spectacular scenery as you walk the well laid out paths from the all the major camps.

Both of us are professional people who decided a long time ago to opt out of the fast paced Corporate world, slow down and enjoy life.

We have been running Honeycomb Guesthouse for many years now, and know that we have made many friends and aquaintances during this time, meeting the most wonderful array of guests from all walks of life and every corner of the globe.

We have heard some amazing stories over breakfasts and evening drinks at our bar. It is actually hard to believe we have hosted over sixteen thousand and cooked Breakfast for the majority of these Guests. We also have many ‘regular’ Guests that enjoy our relaxed atmosphere and have made Honeycomb their Durban home.

Running the guest house and being a part of the hospitality industry continues to be an interesting and awesome time for us and we would love to meet you one day to hear your stories.
