This was the dream of the Biassoni’s. After the success of their Trattoria in Umhlanga, the passionate Father and Son Duo, Michael and Angelo Biassoni founded THE MAD ITALIAN.  Their Dream to have another Family run, an intimate and friendly eatery in the heart of Durban North, came alive!

Our Restaurant is situated in the vibey heart of the Durban North community.  A place where Italian Food brings people together to celebrate, relax and enjoy the moment. A friendly Trattoria, which we hope, will continue to inspire our neighborhood Families to enjoy a meal around the table, enjoy great food and conversation, and most importantly, create memories together.
