Thrifty Car Rental is one of the fastest growing Independent Car Rental Companies in South Africa and Namibia. They are members of the South African Vehicle Rental and Leasing Association. Presently Thrifty Car Rental has a strong National footprint, with representation at all the Major airports as well as Central City branches, currently holding 31 branches in total.

Thrifty Van Rental offers a varied fleet of single and double cab vehicles (including 4x4's), and panel vans to serve commercial requirements. The Van Rental division operates within ‘Thrifty Car & Van Rental' and is represented accordingly at all the Thrifty branches nationally.

Dollar Rent a Car Luxury vehicle rental division for the discerning driver. Specializing in the rental of Mercedes Benz, BMW and other luxury vehicles. Available at selected Branches.

Dollar Thrifty Car Rental Dollar Thrifty International was acquired by Hertz Global in November 2012, collectively the group now operates around 10 720 locations worldwide. The SAFY Group acquired the South African and Namibian Franchise in May 2002. Dollar Thrifty Car Rental Southern Africa has a fleet in excess of 5 000 vehicles. Our vehicles are replaced every 12 months with current models, ensuring that all active vehicles are always less than a year old.
