Durban came together to help those in need! PHOTO: Go South

Officials from the Disaster Management and Emergency Control Unit have swiftly offered temporary shelter and relief to about 173 residents from the Kennedy Road Informal Settlement who was left homeless when a fire gutted their homes on Sunday night.
Working with the Shoprite Soup Kitchen and the Al Imdaad Foundation, the Municipality has secured food and blankets for residents who are currently being housed at the local hall.
Thankfully there were no injuries reported and the cause of fire is still being investigated.
We encourage to continue sharing the spirit of ubuntu!
